About us
A calm, careful home, run by two pilots.
We're a professional couple, both airline pilots, living on the top floor with our baby. Flying has taught us to be calm, organised and careful, and to put safety first. We bring that same care to the students who stay with us.
Suji is on maternity leave and at home full-time, so during this period we're welcoming up to two students. Each has a private bedroom in the garden suite, with the suite's kitchen, living area and laundry for their own use. They're also welcome in the rest of the home: the family room, the kitchen table and the deck. We want students to feel like part of the family, not guests passing through.
We both speak Korean and English fluently. Our aim is simple: your child is safe, well fed and supported, and you always know how they're doing.

The Plateau House standard
A premium homestay, in the details.
We keep student numbers small on purpose. Two students at most means real attention, a quiet place to study, and a family that knows each of them well.
Two students, never more
A boutique home, not a busy boarding house. Each student has a private bedroom and a family that has time for them.
Safety-first, by profession
We're both airline pilots. Calm, organised and safety-first is how we work, and how we run our home.
Fluent in Korean and English
English is our everyday home language, so students practise it naturally. Korean is there for parents, and whenever a student needs it.
A renovated garden suite
New floors, a students' kitchen, bathroom, living area and laundry, with a private entrance onto the garden.
Real food, three times a day
Cooked breakfasts, packed school lunches and family dinners, Korean and Canadian, with snacks and fruit always stocked.
Room to study
A proper desk in every bedroom, a floor of their own, and quiet hours after 10:30 pm.
